Introducing Irwin & Jordan and LapāporterFriday, 31 October 2008 Lola and I have a new double-act in store, and I think you might heart them a lot. Irwin & Jordan are two London girls who decided to create what they couldn't find anywhere else: A pretty tomboy wardrobe. Boyish wool flannel trousers set against gorgeous silk tops with jersey T-shirt sleeves, a show-stopping long black frock that turns out to be a playsuit with palazzo legs, and a perfect little cropped dinner jacket. Their a/w collection entitled 'Duck Soup' after the Marx Brothers' movie looks at movie star glamour without forgetting their boyish flair. Everything is made in England using really rather nice fabrics, and with prices from £120 - £325 it's going to be very hard to resist.
And another new entry: Lapàporter. Initially the designer behind the brand, Ilka Brand, started with Laptop bags (hence the cunning name), but has since branched out into beautifully made lamb leather accessories for your mobile phones (incl. the i-Phone), glasses and your knick-knacks. Each item comes in a variety of colours and sizes.
