Pearls officially lost their predicable status in Hannah's second collection 'The Forgotten Treasure Of The Infamous Aguila Dorada' (breathe). They are stabbed and hooked pretty much throughout, and the hooked version is probably the more feminine of the two styles.

The 18-carat red gold hook extends through the centre of a large Tahitian black pearl, holding together the heavy curb chain.
