This necklace is one of my favourites for its bold, uncompromisingly luxurious modernisation of the classic pearl necklace. Strings of pearls are so predictable, and what better way to give them a rock n' roll edge than with a big spur as a clasp.

The necklace is made of black Akoya pearls in their natural colour with ruby beads. The spur is made of solid 18-carat yellow gold, encrusted with traditional pavé set brilliant cut black diamonds.
